After 4 weeks of light therapy, both groups showed a statistically significant improvement in the LPSI scores of the treated plaques, with Group 1 (420 nm) and Group 2 (453 nm) both reporting p = 0.04, indicating the results were unlikely due to chance. Improvement was noted by both physicians and patients, as the treated plaques appeared and felt better throughout the 4-week treatment period. However, once the therapy stopped, the benefits gradually diminished over time.
